Mississippi Councilman Urges Residents to Throw Rocks And Bottles at Cops

Racial tensions in this country have rocketed to levels of unrest that we haven’t seen in a long time.

Many of our leaders, most notably the president, have chosen to take sides before the facts are in and divide Americans with charged rhetoric rather than unite the country.

That rhetoric has created a very difficult climate for police officers who are being targeted more than ever before and the tragic deaths of several young black teens has cause many people to start viewing cops as the enemy.

One of the most outrageous and unacceptable comments about police officers that you will ever hear from an elected official came from Councilman Kenneth Stokes of Jackson, Mississippi who said that residents should attack cops who come into their neighborhood.

Kenneth Stokes, a councilman in Jackson, Miss., told WLBT-3 Eyewitness News that black leadership should gather together and attack police who enter Jackson’s city limits.

“What I suggest is we get the black leadership together, and as these jurisdictions come into Jackson we throw rocks and bricks and bottles at them. That will send a message we don’t want you in here,” Stokes told WLBT-3 News.
