Libs Make Sick Move To Rename Ronald Reagan National Airport

Obviously emboldened by President Barack Obama’s recent unilateral announcement that he was renaming Mt. McKinley in Alaska, a prominent liberal group has set their sights on renaming something else honoring a former Republican president.

Progressive political action committee CREDO Action has begun circulating a petition to change the name of Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.

They are seeking to change the airport’s name back to its original name, which honored first President George Washington, and are accusing Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner of being hypocritical on the matter.

“Given Speaker Boehner’s current outrage and disappointment at President Obama’s decision to rename Mount McKinley, it’s time to give him the opportunity to make up for his own past mistakes,” the petition reads. “Sign the petition and tell John Boehner he needs to be consistent when it comes to naming America’s landmarks.”

According to Fox News, Boehner was one of the leaders of the GOP House effort to rename the Washington National Airport in honor of President Reagan in 1998.

As of Sunday afternoon, CREDO Action had gathered nearly 60,000 signatures on its petition, closing in on their stated goal of 75,000 signatures.
