Kerry Signs Controversial U.N. Gun Ban Treaty

Secretary of State John Kerry signed a controversial treaty at the United Nations that addresses gun control, giving other countries a say in our affairs.

While many believe this treaty is dead in the water when it comes before the Senate, but a fear persists the President may skip that step, causing Senate leaders to urge the President to take no action without explicit consent of the Senate.

The treaty would require nations to establish regulations on gun control and how arms, their components, and their brokers are transferred and regulated.

While there is no explicit measures to control guns from the outside, many fear that’s what in fact would lead to.

Kerry sais on the treaty: “This is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors. This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes.
